NOVEMBER 2017!
We have a lot to be thankful for here at Highland :) Our Sunday school classes are run by amazing volunteers who love the children and love teaching them about God! This month we talked about Ruth and also about being thankful!
The 1st/2nd graders made a Thankfulness tree. They wrote what they were thankful for on the leaves and stuck them up!
Beautiful finished product :)
4th/5th grade playing Pictionary :)

This month, the 1st/2nd graders and the 4th/5th graders made Ruth cartoons on a fun Ipad app! I love their creativity!! Check out their work :)
GYM DAY!
The kids had to run to the correct corner when I asked them questions about the story...was the answer Ruth, Naomi, Boaz or Orpah? Better hurry...you only have 5 seconds! (I love how M slid into the corner every time :)
You know how Ruth supported Naomi? "Where you go, I will go...". We played a game where they had to support each other. I called out two numbers and that was how many feet and hands could be touching the floor :) Example - 5 hands and 5 feet!
this group got creative - look, no hands or feet! :) lol
Everyone got to be "Ruth" and collect the wheat...how many can you carry?!
soccer! everyone got a number and when it was called they went up against each other :)
Mr. Josh met with us one Sunday to take short video clips of the kids in costume (and reading)
for our Christmas eve video! Here are just a few shots of the kiddos working hard :) they did awesome! Can't wait to see the videos!!
For Christmas we will be talking about all the pieces of the Nativity, what role each figure had and why they're important! On Christmas eve morning the kids will be able to take home their own Nativity set!
God bless!!
